The RP Women's Team suffered a 0.5-3.5 defeat against Romania in Round 2 of the 2010 Chess Olympiad - but not without a stiff resistance.
Our heroines put up a good fight, considering that their opponents are composed of an IM and WGMs.
Teener WFM Chardine Cheradee Camacho, the country's No.1 female player, saved the day for the Philippines from a shutout by halving the point against IM Cristina-Adela Foisor of Romania in their Board 1 battle.
As I see it, our Filipinas didn't lose in Round 2. They just didn't make it over the Romanians.
