Andoy, Balbona rule 2010 Shell Active Chess Mindanao Leg

Jerwell Andoy scoted 7.5 points out of possible 8.0 to rule the Juniors Division of the 2010 Shell National Youth Active Chess Championship Mindanao Leg which was held at the City Tourism Hall last Sunday in Cagayan de Oro.

Meanwhile, Felix Balbona pulled a big upset against John Batucan to emerge champion in the Kiddies Division of the tournament which served as the penultimate leg of the 8-leg nationwide circuit sponsored by Pilipinas Shell.
