REIGNING RP 12 under champion Paulo Bersamina captured the title in the Caloocan City Rapid Chess Festival Kiddies Division at the Grace College in Camarin Road, Caloocan City on Saturday.

Bersamina, the pride of Pasay City scored 6.5 points to went home the title in the one-day event organized by IM Yves Ranola, founder of Alonars Crown Chess Club in close cooperation with Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence (PACE) headed by GM Jayson Gonzales and supervised by NAPCA head Boyet Tardecilla.

Carlo Caranyagan of San Mateo, Rizal settled for runner-up place with 6 points, half point ahead with third placer Juan Carlos Presente of Caloocan with 5.5 points.

Rounding up to the top eleven (11) placers are Ryan Christian Magtabog, Ruther Van Arevalo, Jayson Danday, Charlie Daniel Abuzo, Francis Albert Abucejo, Shaira Mae Aquino, France Louis Changco and Jesca Docena.

Marlon Ricafort of Malabon won the 2100 and below division. Mari Joseph Turqueza on the other hand, the top player of V. Luna Chess Club finish second place.
