FIRST PARENT’S ORIENTATION SEMINAR TO YOUTH CHESS EDUCATION

Parents of young chessplayers are encourage and welcome to attend the 1ST Parent’s Orientation Seminar to Youth Chess Education on May 22, 2010 Saturday 10am at the Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence 56 Mindanao Ave., Project 6, Quezon City. Resource Speakers of the activity are GM Eugene Torre, GM Jayson Gonzales, IM Yves Rañola and Lawyer Rommel Tacorda (FIDE Arbiter and Instructor). The seminar is organized by PACE in cooperation with PACE Parents, Guardians and Trainers Association.

The program emphasizes the importance and role of parents to children’s involvement in Chess in particular and self-discipline in general. Parents should be oriented themselves the contribution and benefits of playing Chess and be knowledgeable in chess laws, rules and regulations during tournaments and other chess related activities.
