People's will

We must be thankful for the generally peaceful 2010 national and local elections.

At least, the elections have been carried out - thanks God - amidst fears of the possible 'failure of elections' scenario.

Credible or not, the 2010 elections point to the fact that majority of the Filipino people still believe - and participate - in the democratic process of choosing our leaders.

But as we all know, nation-building requires more than just casting our votes. Let us not be satisfied with just the conduct of elections.

Vigilance and progressive actions are always required of every Filipino to advance the nation's welfare.

The people have already spoken. Time to march forward. Time to give more of our share.
