MEYCAUAYAN CITY CHESS

One of the much awaited chess events in Metro Bulacan - The 2010 Meycauayan City 2100 and below rapid chess tournament, gets underway at 10:00 am on February 21, Sunday at the Aliw Complex in Brgy. Calvario, Meycauyan City.

At stake in the 2100 and below standard NCFP rating are P4000 for the Champion, P2000 to 2nd, P1000 to 3rd, P500 to the 4th, P400 to the 5th placer and P300 each to 6th- 10th placer. Cash prizes worth P 300 will also be awarded to the top finisher in their respective category, lady, kiddie , top Junior player, senior and top Bulacan player.

A special project of Meycauayan Chess Club and supported by City Mayor Joan Alarilla.

Participants are given 20 minutes to finish the game.

Among the early favorites are NM Jony Habla, Dandel Fernandez, Sonny Dela Cruz , Dr.Eduardo Herrera and Jan Nigel Galan.
