Kosintseva sisters

(IN PHOTO: Tatiana and Nadezhda)

I really love to watch women beating men over the board. As much as possible, I want the beating look like a merciless murder, a very horrifying tragedy to the eyes of men.

The beating becomes more beautiful when the woman is a real beauty and the male looks . . . ehem.

It becomes even more beautiful when the Elo rating of the macho male sitting at the opposite of the board is 100 Elo points higher than that of the beautiful lady.

Oh wow, the story becomes inspiring indeed when two sisters do it in one, strong tournament. That's exactly what sisters GM Tatiana Kosintseva (2515) and IM Nadezhda Kosintseva (2533) did in Round 1 of Aeroflot Open 2010 Tournament A1.

Tatiana did the unthinkable by beating GM Sergey Volkov (2623) while her sister Nadezhda accomplished a more difficult task by defeating GM Farrukh Amonatov (2634) of Tajikistan with Black.

Why am I highlighting a women's cause here in my blog?

It's because my dream is to see Philippine chess to flourish with elite, world-class, top-level women chess warriors.

Well, that's my dream.

Here are their winning games:
