Description of Projects:

1. Finance tournaments organized by FACM affiliated chess tournament organizers.

2. Build a pool talent of chess prodigies ( 6-12 yrs of age; 12-16 yrs of age and 16 yrs over). This activity will be jointly undertaken by the guardians and their designated coaches and teachers.

3. Sponsor the chess career of chess prodigies, from defraying cost of tournament fees, transportation fees and training expenses. If campaign abroad is involved, FACM will work closely with the NCFP and USCF. FACM's involvement may entail add to the support provided by NCFP and/or USCF. Should an extended campaign involving tournaments and further chess schooling are needed, FACM would assume the direct role of the main sponsor for that prodigy, and therefore all expenses involving such extended stay in that country will be underwritten by FACM.

4. Extra activities by child prodigies such as appearing in the press, simul exhibitions, invitations for special participation in any tournaments abroad or in the Phils, shall be coordinated with FACM.

5. Special projects such as sponsorships of chess careers of those other than as child prodigies. FACM affiliated chess bloggers, web designers and coaches/teachers can also be financed.

Resources:

1. FACM Fund. This is legal fund, (managed in accordance with the requirements set by IRS). If escrow procedures are required, FACM shall be the main proponent and should submit regular statements and records of receipts and disbursements with the US and Phil govt) in dollars. Additions to it would be provided by Filam individual and corporate donors (all individual and corporate donors are granted automatic membership to FACM) .

If specific and individual statement of sponsorship for one specific child prodigy, a separate accounting of such funds should always be recorded and reported in according with the IRS, and BIR rules. Deductions from it would be about expenses of sponsorships for tournanents, trainings and other related expenses to advance the chess careers of chess prodigies. From these donors shall be elected the Board of sponsors.

2. Affiliated chess tournament organizers shall be required to be members of the FACM. In every tournament managed by organizers, FACM shall be designated as co-organizer.

3. Chess prodigies, who upon selection shall be extended with automatic membership of FACM, shall be selected based on specific rules. This will be more about the advance of ELO rating or the win-loss record of prodigies of the pre-FACM affiliation (2010 and prior years) and the cumulative results from tournaments attended. The parents, guardians and chess coaches and teachers (PGCT) of such prodigies shall become members also of the FACM. As such, the PGCT inputs on who shall be considered as "prodigies" and their "advancing chess careers" gauges shall be provided by PGCT . After their review, the decision of the Board of Sponsors shall be final.

There should be a catch on this...Where is it?
So much talent so few lasting programs. So much brains, little empathy. So much talk, no actions. Money talks, articles get published. Self promotion and degradation. Be wise and be a fool, chess is just a tool for diversion not the goal in life.

What I can say is, chess is looking for sponsors and when they show up, all sorts of questions pa.

And there's a lot more action.

Anyway, things will still move forward, and those who bide their time critiquing just gets left behind with the times
