Diliman Prep dominates AAPS chess

Diliman Preparatory School (DPS) twins Keith Stephanie Go and Patricia Stephanie Go took the 1-2 finish at the conclusion of Athletic Association of Private Schools (AAPS) Inter-School District III – Quezon City Chess Meet.

Keith finished six points in seven outings, full point ahead with runner-up Patricia who collected five points in the event which also attracted players from Saint Pedro Poveda College, Stella Maris College and St. Therese of the Child Jesus.

With the win, Keith (2ND Year – Kalinga) and Patricia (2ND Year – Tausug) will advance to the AAPS Unit V – Quezon City Chess Meet – Secondary Girls to be held next month. They will join other qualifiers Patricia R. Arbolado (2ND Year – Ifugao) and Maria Jose U. Pastor (Grade 6 – Yakal), also from DPS.

The Diliman Preparatory School (DPS) Varsity Chess Team is under the watchful eye of head coach National Master (NM) / International Arbiter (IA) Erwin L. Carag and assistant coach Raymond V. Salvio.
