The number speaks. The Philippines is a chess nation.

Online users from the Philippines, together with those from the United States, are the most frequent visitors of GM Susan Polgar's blog which officially covers Spice Cup 2009.

The US tied the Philippines at the top spot, but I suspect that online visitors from the US are mostly Filipinos, too.

No doubt, the number is a strong statement that the Philippines is a significant identity when it comes to chess.
