MERALCO chess

The MERALCO Chess Club (MCC) celebrated the 106th anniversary of MERALCO with a special chess treat for its employees last March 22.

Five National Masters namely NM Efren Bagamasbad, NM Rhobel Legaspi, NM Rolando Andador, NM Andrew Vazquez, and NM Gerry Cabellon (in photo above) held simul exhibitions for MERALCO employees. (NOTE: The one in orange shirt, leftmost, is Mr. Rolly Cruz, MCC president.) Notably, some anniversary activities did not push through but the chess event was retained to highlight the celebration of MERALCO Employees' Day.
