XAVIER SCHOOL, ISM TOP ISSA CHESS TEAM TOURNEY

MANILA, PHILIPPINES--- XAVIER SCHOOL and International School of Manila (ISM) are fortunate to bag the top plums in the recently concluded 2009-2010 Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA) chess team tournament with Xavier School in San Juan as the venue.

Xavier’s Mervin Ledesma, Justin Pe and Anderson Ong are responsible for the 12 points aggregate score, good enough to bring home individual gold medals in boards 1, 2 and 3 and team gold medals in the high school division.

Meanwhile, the Ramos brothers Lucas, Liam and Noah, together with Seong Toon Kim and Abhinar Bathula combined forces to put International School of Manila (ISM) as team winners in the grade school division.

Colegio de San Agustin (SCA) under chess coach Jigs Gacutan and Hope Christian Academy joined the aforementioned chess leaque.
