1ST POTRERO NON-MASTER OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT

Everything unfolds today (Sunday, January 31) in the 1ST POTRERO NON-MASTER OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT at Juliana St. , Potrero, Malabon (near Del Monte Cockpit). Sponsors of the event are Malabon City Councilor Dado Cunanan and Barangay Potrero Kagawad.

At stake in this prestigious event are; Champion P 3,000, 2nd place P 2,000, 3rd place

P1,000 and 4th to 10th placers P200 each. The tournament shall be played in Seven(7) Rounds Swiss System and the rate of play is Twenty Five(25) minutes per player to finish the game.

The tournament is organized by Potrero Chess Club headed by Club President Jose Corpuz, Jr. and will be supervised by the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA).
