Corus Chess 2010 Group B

Many Filipino chess fans from the Philippines and from other parts of the globe have already given their predictions for Corus B 2010.

Some focused on the eventual winners while others dwelt on possible scores as well as on who would beat whom.

As for me, however, I don't want to give any PREDICTION. Instead, I would like to present my WISHES for GM Wesley So after Corus B 2010 through visual messages.

Here's what I wish for the Pambansang Utak to become after that prestigious event:

Chessdom reports: "The 72nd Corus Chess 2010 tournament will be held from 15 January - 31 January 2010 in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands. The winner of the event will qualify for the Grand Slam Final 2010.

The Corus Chess Tournament has three main tournaments. They are played according to the 'round robin' system, whereby each competitor plays in turn against every other during the tournament. All three Grandmaster groups have 14 players and start on January 16th."

Chessdom also announced that "GM Villamayor will comment the games of Wesley So from Corus Chess 2010 live on Chessdom.com," noting that "GM Buenaventura "Bong" Villamayor has joined the commentators team of Chessdom.com! GM Villamayor has confirmed his availability for the duration of the Corus 2010 chess tournament and will be commenting the games of Wesley So from Corus B."

It said: "The commentary of GM Villamayor will be parallel to the coverage provided by GM Christian Bauer, GM Valeriy Aveskulov, GM Vladimir Dimitrov, IM Alexander Ipatov (the other new member of the team), NM Pete Karagianis, Jason Juett, IM Perunovic, and WIM Videnova on Chessdom.com and the Chessdom Chessbomb live games platform."
