A call on the NCFP

How I wish to feature even just the top board games in the ongoing 2011 National Juniors Chess Championships that will end today in Davao City.

To effectively promote chess, I firmly believe that it can NEVER be enough to just announce the results of the games.

The battles should be brought to the audience. The games should be watched, so that the audience can feel some adrenaline rush.

If the the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) is understaffed to provide this very basic service, this blog is ready to help.

Just provide me the PGNs - even of the top board games only - and I will post the games here.

It is important that something must be "seen" happening if we're to talk about sports.

It's a complete pity to only hear "Who won?" or "Who lost?" when people are talking about sports.

Unfortunately, in the Philippines, it is only in the sports of chess where this misery happens.

This is a call on the NCFP to feature the games of the tournaments that they organize - in their official website!

If they can't do it in their official website, I guess some local chess blogs can assist.
