Politics in any sports organization is a reality. And we don't even have to talk about American chess when it comes to dirty politics. We only need to look at our own.
Factional groups in Philippine chess is one dark reality. The source of faction? Politics.
Politics perse isn't bad. It is only when people with bad intentions engage in politics that we come to have bad politics.
Isn't it that we have factions in our own fence?
Oh yeah, bad politics is present even in the grassroot chess clubs.
The problem emanates from people who engage in bad politics. These are the people who compromise moral principles for self-interests, people who repel transparency.
It is the Demon that finds pleasure from divisiveness and intrigues.
Time for self-examination - and action.

Sample of Corruption.... For every uniform tailored to each player, PhP 200.00 punta sa Athletic Director ng isang Sports Development Office.
Imagine if the Institution has 10 or more events to join in? Whether team or individual event. Add to that, meron pang season one and season two in one school year?
Uniform pa lang ang usapan natin dito... meron pang sponsorship issues, training allowance, travel allowance etc.
Millions ito...
Malaki to...
Now pano pa kung National governance ang pag uusapan natin? Contract biddings etc?
And this is happening all over the world. Yung iba discreet and yung iba makapal (or garapal!).
On the other side of the pole, maraming nagsasabi "MONEY ISNT EVERYTHING...."
