A clear trend right now in Philippine chess is that more and more players are participating in tournaments.
Be it in kiddies or juniors events, regular monthly mini-tournaments, national and international open, the numbers tell the flow: Philippine chess is getting hot!
The just concluded Cebu City Charter Day Open, which was participated in by 272 players!, showed not only the success of the event but also the growing interests (shown in active participation) among our chess locals.
Good signs for Philippine chess.
