PHILWEB-HUMAN PLUS NATIONAL EXECUTIVE CHESS GRAND FINALS TOURNEY ON

THE Philippine Association of Chess Executives (PACE) is set to stage the finals of 2009 Philweb–Human Plus National Executive Grand Prix Active Chess Championships on Saturday, December 12, at the 3rd level of Alphaland South Gate Mall, EDSA corner Pasong Tamo, Makati City (near Magallanes MRT Terminal).

Hosted by Philweb Corporation led by lawyer Cliburn Orbe, the nine-round Swiss tournament will have a time control of 25 minutes per game per player and will get under way soon after the 10 a.m. opening ceremony.

A P25,300 jackpot is up for grabs, as follows: first prize P10,000 plus trophy and home appliance, second P5,000 plus trophy and home appliance, third P3,000 plus trophy and home appliance, fourth P2,000 plus medal and home appliance, and fifth P1,000 plus medal and home appliance, 6th to 10th, P500 each plus Christmas gifts and 11th to 16th placers, P300 each plus Christmas gifts. Top Group B player will bring home 23-inch colored TV set plus trophy. No Registration Fee will be imposed:

All finalists have up to December 10 to confirm their participation. If a finalist can’t make it, next in line in his Group will advance to the Grand Finals.
