GM Wesley So blanked GM Gadir Guseinov in the tiebreaker match (3-0) to advance to Round 2 of the 2009 World Chess Cup.

So's rampage in the rapid category could have already drawn the attention of possible opponents in the next rounds - hopefully he gets there - and prompt them to adopt a battle plan not to engage with him in the rapid. Meaning, beat Wesley in the standard . . . or else.
