Four Filipina woodpushers will wave the Philippine flag in the 9th Asian Continental/Individual (Women) championship, which is being staged as a side event of the 9th Asian Continental/Individual (Open). They are Akiko Charmaine Suede (in photo), Christy Lamiel Bernales, Aices Salvador, and WIM Beverly Mendoza.
Notably, only six players are untitled in this 24-player competitive field, and three of them are our bets!! This event is seeing the participation of seven WGMs, with WGM JU Wenjun (2500) of China as the top seed.
