Filipino campaigner IM Kim Steven Yap (2416) scored 5.5 points after putting up a +5-3=1 performance to finish at No.26 in a field of 108 players in the Thailand Open Chess Championship 2010.
Another Filipino participant in the name of Michael Culasing (1901) scored 2.5 points to land at No.97 in the final rankings.
This international event saw the participation of former world challenger GM Short Nigel (2686), the event's top seed, who finished with 7.5 points in solo second.
