Seminar for trainers and coaches

Chess players who want to learn the skills in Chess teaching are invited to attend the "11th PhilCheK-NAPCA TRAINERS AND COACHES SEMINAR” to be held on March 27 10:00am to 3:00pm & March 28, 2010 9:00am - 5:00pm at the Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence (PACE) HQ, 2/F 56 Mindanao Avenue, Project 6, Quezon City.

The seminar is organized by the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA) and the Philippine Chess Knights League. The seminar were conducted in previous location: (3) Manila 2006-2007, (1) Paranaque City 2008, (1) Baguio City 2008, (2) Makati 2008, (1) Pasig City 2009, (1) Naga City 2009 (1) Quezon City 2010.

The program deals with the proper way of teaching chess to students. Invitation is open to the representatives of Sports Department of Cities and Municipalities, Chess Clubs, Schools and any Organization.

Seminar facilitator is FIDE ARBITER & FIDE INSTRUCTOR LAWYER ROMMEL TACORDA with Guest Speakers GM EUGENE TORRE and GM JAYSON GONZALES, the 1st Asia's Grandmaster and 9th Grandmaster of the Philippines, respectively. Among the topics that will be learned are Chess History, Levels of Training, Terminologies, Principles of Opening Strategy, Checkmating patterns, Playing Strength Assessment, Tactics, and many others.

Seminar fee is P 1,500.00 inclusive of meal and materials. Uniform is optional for only P 200.00.
