AREQUE TOPS MEYCAUAYAN CHESS

VETERAN campaigner Jerry Areque reaped top honors in the recently concluded Meycauayan Rapid Chess Tournament that was held at the Aliw Complex Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

Areque finished 6.5 points in the event organized by Meycauayan Chesss Club and sponsored by Mayor Joan Alarilla, Mrs. Linabelle Villarica and supported by Ms. Tenten San Juan of Aliw Complex.

Tied for 2nd to 4th placers with six points were Marvin Salvador, NM Ric Portagalera, Narquienden Reyes. Frederick Bernabe and Richie Evangelista finished fifth and sixth placers with 5.5 pts ., followed by Jimson Bitoon in seventh, Dandel Fernandez in eighth, Ervil Villa in ninth and Melvin Salutan in 10th place.

Adjudged category winner were Jerad Docena, top kiddie, Dante Abano top unrated and Sonny Dela Cruz, top Meycauayan Player.
