Chess will be among the 12 sport events that will be featured in the 2010 National Milo Little Olympics which will be held in Cagayan de Oro from October 15 to 17.
A huge number of 15,000 student athletes from different schools across the country are expected to troupe to Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Center, the venue of this three-day event.
Looking back, here are the winners of the 2009 Milo Little Olympics (Chess Event) which was held at the New Building of Marikina Sports Complex in Marikina City in September last year.
Team competition in four divisions
High School Boys:
Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School (Pasig)
2nd place: Sta. Elena High School
3rd place: Philippine Christian University (Taft, Manila)
4th place: Marist School
High School Girls:
Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School (Pasig)
2nd place: Sta. Elena High School
3rd place: St. Scholastic Academy
4th place: The Sisters of Mary
Elementary Girls:
Champion: La Immaculada Concepcion School (Pasig)
2nd place: St, Paul College (Pasig)
3rd place: Woodridge College
4th place: Diosdado P. Macapagal Elementary School
Elementary Boys:
Champion: Dr. Jose P. Rizal Elementary School
2nd place: La Immaculada Concepcion School (Pasig)
3rd place: Ateneo de Manila University
4th place: Statefields School Incorporated
