Pinoy leads Ambank Chess Challenge 2009

Samson Lim Jr. of the Philippines is leading the Ambank Chess Challenge 2009 with perfect 4.0 points after four rounds, just another testament of Filipino supremacy in chess in the ASEAN region.

Ambank Chess is being held alongside the Malaysian Open 2009 (DATMO 2009) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Fellow Filipino campaigners Rodolfo Panopio, Jr. (3.5 points) and Roel Abelgas (3.0 points) are making the presence of Filipino chess warriors felt in this international chess challenge.

Let's hope and pray that both the Malaysia Open and Ambank Chess Challenge be ruled by Filipino players.
