11th ASEAN+ AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

Wow! The Philippines has a very large contingent in the ongoing 11th ASEAN+ Age-Group Championships in Subic. See the names of the young Filipino chess heroes who are fighting for the Philippine flag HERE.

But wait, Vietnam - the overall ruler of the 10th ASEAN Age-Group edition - has also fielded a considerable number of players. See Vietnam's throng of players HERE and you'll see how serious they are in the sports of chess. The Philippines had never sent a contingent this big to any of the past stagings of the ASEAN Age-Group when held abroad.

Vietnam is serious. They came here to defend their title. The battle is on.
