It's sweeter to the ears when said in Filipino: "Kuya." Just to show you the Filipinoness of GM Wesley So, he told the mother of 13-year old NM Paulo Bersamina at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport before their flight to Russia for their participation in Aeroflot 2011: "Aalagaan po namin anak n'yo."
Very touching, very Pinoy. Indeed, Wesley is not only a sports icon that inspires a nation. He's a real person, a real Kuya who takes care of a bunso.
How fascinating was it to know that Wesley and Pau frolicked in Russian snow like innocent kids whose eyes were all agaze at the beauty of nature.
Being a "Kuya Wesley" means a lot, especially to the Filipino youth who need not only an inspiration but a real helping hand to guide them to excellence and greatness.
