3rd ASEAN Primary School Sport Olympiad

RP participants to the 3rd ASEAN Primary School Sport Olympiad that was held in Jakarta, Indonesia in the first week of November. The only girl, Shania Mae Mendoza, represented Sta Rosa, Laguna Central 2 with IM Rico Mascarinas, (Sta Rosa) and Coach Tony Yu. Also in photo is LSGH Coach NM Carag.


Shania (left) placed 4th in one of the events. She is a Grade 6 student at Sta Rosa, Laguna Central 2 and a protege of Mr. Yu. A member of the MJ and Erl's kiddies chess team, she plays Board 2 for the team and is the defending champion of the Santa Rose Estates 2 Chess Cup and a veteran of the STACAA and DEPED chess competitions.
