Volunteerism

It’s really a good thing to note that there are people who are more than generous to provide “something special” for the advancement of a good cause.

We have a member who donated a digital chess clock and who promised to shoulder half of the amount of our expenses in our Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) application.

We have a member who committed to chip in P500 for our SEC registration.

The future of the Malibay Chess Club holds promising as long as we have people who are very much willing to help the club, in whatever way, achieve its full potential as an organization of – volunteers.

Greg,

Kumusta pare? MCC members hope you're OK there in your new world. Naka-adjust ka na ba?

We held an emergency meeting right after you left for work abroad. I just want to inform you of our agreements.

1. We already forged an agreement the first time we met as a club (sa bahay ni Jonathan). Every detail of that agreement is binding and must be followed by club members religiously.

2. During that meeting, we already elected a set of officials. You were chosen as the President.

3. Our bylaws states that in case the President cannot perform his official functions, the Vice-President should take in charge.

4. We should not break our bylaws to maintain discipline in the club. Whatever decision that the group members have come up with, it must be binding, and therefore must be enforced.

5. You are still the President of the Malibay Chess Club. Everything is going smoothly, pare. Change of leadership will happen only during the club's general assembly in January of every year.

6. Even if you are physically distant from the rest of the club members, you can still lead and help us, especially now that you are earning a lot (hhehehehehe), you know what I mean.

All I can assure you is that the Malibay Chess Club as an organization is moving forward. And you are part of that no matter what.

Sige pre. Ingat na lang dyan!
