2011 National Juniors Chess Championships

The thrill continues in the ongoing 2011 National Juniors Chess Championships (Boys and Girls) that is taking place at the NCCC Mall in Davao City.

Today (May 2), two rounds (Round 6 and Round 7) will be played. Yes, our young chess heroes need extra strength to finish two rounds of standard chess in a day from April 30 till tomorrow.

Isn't this set up too punishing for our kids? I don't know. Only the kids can tell.

In a situation like this, proper nutrition and comfortable rest is a must for our talented young chess warriors, especially those who come from distant places unaccompanied by their parents.

Most of them are still kids who really need parental comfort, period.
